In this case, it is a contest organized by the Board of Directors of the Mexican Society of Public Health. It is based on the seventy-sixth article and attends to chapter XIV of the current corporate bylaws. But now the important thing is to know the call with the requirements to participate.
The Medal of Health Merit Its purpose is to honor the members of the Society who have dedicated to the improvement of the sanitary conditions of our country and provided some relevant service to this cause. It can also be for some renowned foreign health worker who has dedicated himself to public health activities for the obvious benefit of the health and well-being of humanity.
Bases of the Call for the Medal of Health Merit 2022
- Only Full Members of the Company and/or foreigners with a recognized health career and with verifiable outstanding activities for the benefit of public health may be candidates for this award.
- The medal may be awarded posthumously, to whoever has met the requirements specified in this call.
- The application of the candidate must be accompanied by their Curriculum Profile and supporting documents of their professional career in Spanish.
- Proposals should be addressed to the President of the Mexican Society of Public HealthDr. Jesús Felipe González Roldán, with attention to the Commission for the granting to the Medal of Health Meritwith address located at Calle de Herschel No. 109 Col. Process for granting the Medal of Health Merit
For the award to the Medal of Health Merit A commission will be formed that will be composed of:
- The secretary general;
- The representative appointed by the Permanent Advisory Council, and
- Three section directors approved by the Board of Directors.
- The Commission will make a study of the documentation that accompanies the proposals of candidates and will be assisted with the information that exists in the Company’s file, or from any other source of information.
- The Commission will issue its opinion no later than September 23, 2022, informing the Governing Body in writing, so that through the Board of Directors, the Commission’s decision is communicated to the awarded person.
- The Commission will award a maximum of two health merit medals, each of whom must be awarded from a different discipline.
- The Commission reserves the right to declare the award void.
- The opinion of the Commission will be unappealable.
- The Commission will take office before the publication of this call and will end by issuing its opinion.
- The Medal of Health Merit will be awarded to the awardees during the opening ceremony of the LXXVI Annual Meeting of the Mexican Society of Public Health, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
