ByKolles projects are guadianesque. There is no better adjective for a team that is in the top class of the WEC and disappears almost without a trace, only to re-emerge when the structure was left for dead. The fault lies with Colin Kolles, for good and bad. And when he plays to be on the crest of the wave, pFew sell their achievements better than this dentist with the soul of a careerist. For sample, the Vanwall Vandervell LMHthe prototype developed by ByKolles to compete in the hypercar category.
Some days ago, Colin Kolles gave the green light to the publication of the first static images of the new Vanwall Vandervell LMHmessage through to the FIA and ACO for rejecting without giving too many explanations the registration of ByKolles and Vanwall to compete in the WEC 2022. Refusal that almost seems like a thing of the past, since after showing the first photos of the ByKolles hypercar prototype, the team has completed the first test session of the car. Colin Kolles has once again measured the times so that the Vanwall Vandervel LMH is on everyone’s lips.

The shakedown of the Vanwall Vandervel LMH has taken place at a German airfield, although its location has not been revealed. What has become clear is that Christophe Bouchut was the first driver to get behind the wheel of this hypercar. In fact, the experienced French pilot uploaded a photo to social networks of him next to the car, an image in which the ByKolles truck was also seen and what looks like a military cargo plane. All perfectly calculated.
The 1993 Le Mans 24 Hours winner was the only driver present at the Vanwall Vandervell LMH shakedown, so Tom Dillmann and Esteban Guerrieri, ByKolles test drivers, will have to wait for successive tests to drive this prototype. Beyond this question, Bouchut himself has confirmed that the team rode on a circuit enabled for brands with a huge straight at this aerodrome for almost six hours without suffering any kind of incident.
Beyond the technical stops in a test in which all the car’s systems are checked, the Vanwall Vandervell LMH has rolled completely normally during these almost six hours of testing. In this regard, Christophe Bouchut has assured that it has been a pleasure to complete the first kilometers of the prototype, in addition to ensuring that the prototype has a good mechanical and aerodynamic basisso he hopes to roll again with this hypercar in the near future in a permanent circuit to use.
