With four days of hybrid conferences, GS1 Mexicothe business organization that facilitates omnichannel commerce and ecommerce through international standards such as the Barcode, will hold the 8th Edition of the 8th Edition of business factory, the largest retail incubator in Latin America.
Fábrica de Negocios 2022 aims to connect manufacturers -entrepreneurs and SMEs- with buyers from 19 of the main commercial chains, wholesalers and marketplaces in the country to bring innovation to their physical sales floors and digital shelves.
Juan Carlos Molina, General Director of GS1 Mexico highlighted that: “After a long social distancing caused by the pandemic, Fábrica de Negocios returns in person with the purpose of reinforcing our commitment to the development and professionalization of SMEs and entrepreneurs who want to to be suppliers of large retailers and e-commerce platforms, as well as to facilitate their path towards omnichannel and digital transformation”.
It’s time to become an entrepreneur
The Business Factory concept is based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvio model, grounded in the current reality of business with eight key axes: Retail / ecommerce, Strategic planning, Innovation and technology, Support and financing, Digital transformation, Regulations and ethics, as well as sustainability and social responsibility.
In particular, this year of great challenges in economic, social, geopolitical and supply chain matters, we want to permeate among the attendees two key concepts for the development of current and future retail leaders:
- Entrepreneur-entrepreneur. The entrepreneur must develop the focus, discipline, and structure of an entrepreneur to achieve maturity, efficiency, and productivity in his endeavor.
- Businessman-entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs need to maintain the passion, optimism and temperament that characterize an entrepreneur in order to foster innovation inside and outside their organization, as well as to face the challenges presented by the market.
It should be noted that manufacturers associated with GS1 Mexico will be able to make appointments with buyers from participating commercial chains such as: Casa Vargas, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Chedraui, La Comer, Super Kompras, 7 Eleven, HEB, Mi Tienda del Ahorro, OXXO, Sahuayo, Woolworth, Casa Ley, Diconsa, La Gran Bodega, Super Aki, Super Mayoreo Naturista and Calimax.
Currently, one of four products that are presented in the Business Factory is marketed on the retail sales floor between the following six and 12 months. This is the case of the Pyme Biodeli, dedicated to improving the environment with the sale of disposable products and 100% biodegradable bags, which today manufactures the own brand of the Super Kompras regional chain with a presence in the State of Mexico.
Also, attendees will enjoy 24 Conferences given by companies such as Google, Mercado Libre, Zebra Technologies, Estafeta, Tendro, IMPI, Unilever, Helvex and Drip Capital, among others, which will allow new ventures and emerging companies to professionalize their products and operation to take your business to the next level, start your digital transformation process and start speaking the global language of business.
On the other hand, the event will be held in the new GS1 Forum, the result of a strategic and intelligent decision by the Association to efficiently manage resources in a context of economic uncertainty, as well as to use, take advantage of, make efficient and condition our facilities to establish a place destined to carry out events and activities that allow the growth, development and networking of our associates throughout the year, as well as add value to their membership.
“Today more than ever, GS1 Mexico is committed to the professionalization, training and development of Mexican SMEs that have shown a lot of heart, resilience and character to not give up and overcome any contingency. Today we lay together, private initiative, government and academia, the foundations to outline a better future for the economy and business in Mexico”, added Paola Cabrera, Marketing Manager of GS1 Mexico.
