BMW joins the next tour of the London quartet, Coldplay, which, as the British themselves announced, will be eco friendly.
Earlier this month, on October 7 to be exact, Coldplay’s new album went on sale, Music of the Spheres, which has become very popular thanks to the duet with the K-pop ensemble, BTS, for their song “My Universe”, which has been a great success for the group.
With Music of the Spheres, Coldplay is also announcing their return to the stage, after not doing it for a long time, when they had assured that they would not go on tour unless it was environmentally friendly.
Finally, after a long wait, the British quartet will mark its return to the stage from April next year, when it begins its world tour that will have a passage through Mexico with two dates confirmed so far.
Of course, there is great expectation on the part of the fans of the group, especially since more than a year has passed since the last massive concerts were lived in Mexico City and, in that sense, 2022 is planned as the year in which the big events will be returning in a format more or less similar to that of before the pandemic.
BMW joins the tour coldplay eco friendly
As they had already announced, Coldplay confirmed their return to the stage once, apparently, they have found a formula not to damage the environment so much, one of the great concerns of recent years.
For this, one of the most famous car brands in the world, has decided to join the initiative of Chris Martin and company: we are talking, of course, of BMW.
As part of the next tour eco friendly from Coldplay, BMW will put its electric car batteries to a new use once they reach the end of their useful life. The idea is that, with these batteries, the concerts of the British quartet can be supplied with electricity, in order to replace the diesel and gasoline generators, which are those that are regularly used in this type of event.
Around 40 recycled batteries from the BMW i3 were reportedly needed to light the Coldplay world tour, which will provide lighting via an energy storage device.
In addition, this device can be recharged through the use of renewable energies, such as solar installations, kinetic ground in stadiums, electric bicycles, among others.
The idea is that Coldplay shows leave a lower CO2 footprint, because the situation with the environment, as we have seen in the news, is not the best and various authorities have urged urgent action.
Precisely, that was the reason why Coldplay had decided to no longer give concerts and not harm the planet more, announcing that it would only return to the stage if it found an ideal formula to carry out all the logistics required for such events. magnitude.
