For Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, DC’s rebirth is a fundamental question, a personal challenge. The actor played Black Adam with that premise: he wants it to be the first stone for the rise of the new DC.
The film, now in theaters, follows a young slave from the fictional ancient kingdom of Kahndaq turned hero, Teth-Adam, after being empowered by Shazam.
Teth-Adam, then Black Adam, he is revived in the present, fighting Ishmael Gregor/Sabbac, along with the Justice Society of America.
There are 124 minutes of action and heroism, which are still entertaining, but which did not receive the best reviews from experts either. However, the north remains: this must be the way for DC.
Under Armor launched some spectacular sneakers for the movie, the Black Adam x Project Rock 5 Anti Hero. They are part of a collection of sportswear under the name Black Adam Training, with The Rock as a key element.
“Black Adam deserved more than a portrait,” The Rock said. “He deserved a transformation. Every training session, every rep, every drop of sweat it was my commitment to alter the very notion of this character and myself.”
