Through an announcement on his official Twitter account On March 2, the Mexican cryptocurrency exchange Bitso announced the arrival of the ‘Bitso Card‘ to the Latin American country for the users of its platform.

The commitment to the new Bitso product occurs thanks to an alliance with Mastercard to take advantage of the increasing trend in the use of digital media for the payment of goods and services by people in Latin America, which according to a study by the payment provider stands at 71%.
“We are very excited to launch the card and we share the enthusiasm with our entire community in Mexico to see this long-awaited product become a reality,” said Bárbara G. Briseño, General Director of Bitso México.
At the moment the card is available in physical and digital versions only for users in Mexicowhich will be able to make purchases both in their territory and abroad with their balance in Mexican pesos within the exchange, in more than 90 million Mastercard-affiliated stores around the world.
The card comes embedded with ‘no contact’ to execute payments with just one tap, with no minimum spend requirements or maintenance annuity payments. It is important to note that the physical card will allow the withdrawal of cash at ATMs throughout the Mexican territory.
