Bitso and the São Paulo Futebol Clube, a Brazilian soccer team, collaborated so that the hiring of midfielder Giuliano Galoppo, together with the Argentine club Club Atlético Banfield, was carried out using cryptocurrencies, specifically the stablecoin USDC. The transaction was made on the Bitso platform, which made the payment possible and marked the first hiring transfer of the team known locally as “The drillusing cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. The amount of the transaction would be around USD 6 million.
