Bitcoin has registered its third worst performance in 2022according to the data provided by Coinglass, in which marks negative closings in eight of the twelve months of the year. These months were January, April, May, June, August, September, November, and December.
The behavior of the main asset of the cryptographic industry even during the last 24 months has been negativecounting fourteen months with red numbers in the last two years.
However, from the graph it can be seen that The worst year on record for the Bitcoin market has been 2018in which of the twelve months it registered nine months with negative returns.
In January 2022 it closed with a negative market of more than 16% in relation to the price of the immediately previous month, which had also closed with more than 18% less and to close that quarter, that is, November 2021, December 2021 and January 2022 with more than 42% drop in price.
According to the data provided by CoinMarketCap for the first November, the Bitcoin unit stood at 60,963.25 dollars, and for the first of December 2021 the price of Bitcoin was around 57,217.37 dollars. It ended the quarter in a downward trend, reaching a value of $38,481.77.
This started the sustained decline in the price of the main cryptocurrency in which, after having a value that oscillated between 40,000 and 46,000 dollars for the months of February and March 2022, plunged for the entire quarter (April-May-June) in a row touching the price of USD 19,274.84.
July suffered a positive variation of at least 16.4% that was followed by another negative two-month period that accumulated 13.88% for the month of August and 3.12% for September to close the month of October as the last month of the year with a positive yield of 5.56% over the price of the previous month.
Now, in the data recorded by Coinglass, there is a match that is not necessarily a market pattern, and is that the last decade, bitcoin has registered four years with a January in positive numbersnamely, 2013, 2014, 2020 and 2021. Of these, except for the year 2014 that registered its second worst performance for bitcoin, the other three years have had consecutive positive quarters that allowed the growth of the cryptographic ecosystem.
Especially for the last quarter of 2020 and the first of 2021 in which bitcoin accumulated six consecutive months with rising numbers. What is clear from the graph is also that March is a month that has marked negative numbers just like September for Bitcoin.
