Bit2me continues with its M&A strategy and has acquired 100% of Dekalabs, the benchmark software development company in the cryptocurrency, Web3 and Blockchain sector in Spain. This was reported to Cointelegraph en Español in a statement.
After the operation, Dekalabs will maintain its autonomy and continue developing projects as a software development studio for other companies. In this new stage, the company will be led by Sandra Garcia (until now COO of Dekalabs), while the company’s former CEO, David Ortega, will hold the position of Chairman of Dekalabs and director of innovation at Bit2Me.
Leif Ferreira, CEO of Bit2Me, considers that the team, culture, business model and growth plan of Dekalabs is aligned with that of Bit2Me. Ferreira commented: “We want Dekalabs to continue operating autonomously in the same way that it has been doing in recent years. With this operation, what we want is for Dekalabs to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that arise every day at Bit2Me. I think that together with Dekalabs we can make many companies integrate into the cryptocurrency industry.”. He further added: “We hope that in the following months new opportunities for integration with other companies in the industry can be closed”.
On the other hand, the founder of Dekalabs, David Ortega, said he was satisfied with this alliancesince it will allow you to consolidate a mature project in a company like Bit2Me.
Ortega stated: “The integration of Dekalabs in Bit2Me is the irrefutable validation of the good work that has been done in the company. A job that I think will improve even more thanks to the knowledge that Bit2Me has in the world of cryptocurrencies and in regulatory and legal compliance matters.”.
The acquisition also will reinforce the consulting area, in which the tokenization of assets stands outthat is, the transformation of a physical or immaterial asset into a digital asset, and the development of projects related to metaverses, smart contracts, wallets, tokens, NFTs, or DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations).
