In the absence of any sort of subtitle, the best way to refer to the work BioWare has been doing so far was Dragon Age 4. That’s over. The developer has revealed that the final name of its new installment will be Dragon Age: Dread Wolf.
Through a publication on its website, the study has discarded any number for the title. To solve the mystery of what the word Dreadwolf refers to, BioWare has provided a little lore preview:
Solas, the Dire Wolf. Some say that he could be an ancient elven god, but others say that he is not. Others say that he is a traitor to his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of his world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as a trickster deity, a player of dark and dangerous games.
Therefore, it seems that they are referring to the one who will be the main villain of this installment. In addition, from the team they indicate that “if you are new to Dragon Ageyou don’t have to worry about not having met our antagonist yet. It will present itself properly when the time comes“. Of course, they assure that their return was already hinted at during the presentation of the work in 2018.
What else can we expect? The truth is that there will be news about Dragon Age: Dread Wolf at the end of the year and reconfirm that we will not finally see it in 2022. The last thing we knew is that the development is halfway through, beyond the fact that the game as a service proposal has been abandoned.
