Bioshock 4 would continue with its scheduled release date for the end of 2024.
BioShock 4 is real, it’s being developed by Cloud Chamber, a new 2K Games studio, but although The first details of his proposal would have already been leaked, new reports suggest that the development of the game is suffering from serious problems. In the same way that it would be happening to the new game by Ken Levine, former head of BioShock.
A new leak suggests that the team in charge of the game would have recently lost 40 of its workersincluding some command posts (via GameRant). Likewise, he points out that 2K Games would not be too “satisfied” with the current state of the game, nor the pace of work.
I’ve been told that some left on their own, some were fired for various reasons, however it’s not a ‘development hell’ but rather a ‘slight restructuring’. The studio has already started hiring new employees. It is likely that the announcement date may shift for this reason.

It would not be a “development hell” as was said of the new Levine, so for now it is expected that new hires will be made so that the game continues to come out on its expected initial date of end of 2024. Although none of this information is officially confirmed by 2K Games. It seems that we will still have to wait a long time to know the first details of its narrative and playable proposal, more to see it in motion.
It’s hard to know which will arrive first, BioShock 4 or the Bioshock movie that Netflix announced in the last hours. Another cursed project that has gone through numerous reboots, director changes and its inevitable fall into oblivion. We will see what Netflix is capable of doing with a universe as rich as that of BioShock and how the peculiarities of its plot intrinsically based on the action of a video game are adapted.
