Every day, the adoption of digital assets increases both in small and large steps, due to the fact that their presence is more and more noticeable in events with large audiences. In fact, we recently told you about the participation of these virtual tokens in the awards gala of the MTV television channel.
However, one of the main obstacles to the adoption of this type of digital money is the lack of knowledge about it and its uses. That is why, aware of the needs of the market to reach all those people who still do not use crypto assets, the digital asset exchange house Binancerecently announced that it will soon open a Educational Center on cryptocurrencies in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
This cryptocurrency education center is a project developed by Binance together with the non-profit technology center Inoni tech and has the mission and goal of providing resources and training to all young people in Francophone Africa. The center is intended as well as being a meeting and learning point where crypto literacy and adoption can be improved in the region.
New opportunities for Cameroonians
According to an official statement made by the exchange house, regular skills training sessions offered at the center will go a long way in developing new job opportunities for Cameroonians.
It should also be noted that Binance noted that this “first of its kind” center will be entirely focused on the crypto ecosystem, as well as acting as a training center for educational sessions where people will have the chance to learn about the blockchain in person.
Similarly, through this new space, the exchange hopes to equip all those enthusiasts of the digital assetswith a greater number of resources within the ecosystem, as well as encourage offline connections.
The new education center on digital assets is located in the Bastos neighborhood, Yaoundé, 300 meters from The Famous Restaurant.
One of the main objectives of the educational center in the short term is to become an obligatory place of reference for the entire community, in terms of topics related to updated news and information on virtual currencies, educational opportunities and updated cryptographic training.
The primary way to accomplish this is through regularly scheduled in-person events. In this regard, the leader of Francophone Africa at Binance, Carine Dikambi, pointed out that Africans continue to have a more than clear interaction with digital currencies, in very different ways, establishing some of their most important use cases, in addition to taking advantage of all their potential to achieve broader financial inclusion.
“Through Binance’s cryptocurrency hub, we see a more hands-on approach as an essential step in demystifying concepts, fostering a good understanding of the many opportunities that education, web 3.0, and the blockchain ecosystem can bring to Cameroon, and in ultimately to Francophone Africa.” said Carine Dikambi, Head of Francophone Africa at Binance.
Binance and crypto education
It should be noted that this is not the first time that the exchange has carried out a project whose purpose is to educate people on crypto issues.
From the moment the company launched a series of courses called Binance Master Classthe crypto firm has managed to educate more than 400 thousand Africans on crypto issues, either face to face or virtually.
“Since crypto newbies often fall victim to crypto scams, these free webinars primarily helped users understand crypto fundamentals, identify scams, and ultimately protect their crypto assets.” noted the firm.
That is why the launch of the new crypto educational center will take training efforts one step further, building trust and creating connections.
