We have been waiting impatiently for it since its announcement more than a month ago, but yesterday we were finally able to attend the Xbox & Bethesda Showcasethe event in which Xbox and Bethesda Game Studios have joined forces to show everything they have prepared for us for the rest of this year and next year, and frankly, it’s not little.
Having given us arguably the best conference of the month to date, there is quite a bit to contemplate. That is why at Somosxbox we have prepared, in summary, the highlights of this event.
Starfield
We start with the end of the conference and without a doubt with what was the most anticipated game of the event. We have finally been able to see Bethesda’s next open world RPG in motion in a 15-minute trailer that has taught us in great detail about the title. Not only will we have more than 1000 planets that we can visit on our adventure, but we will also be able to fly our spaceship completely freely, which we can customize to our liking. come back too the settlement building system that was already present in Fallout 4which seems to look more complex this time.
And of course, we cannot forget to mention the character creator, which seems to be much more complex than what we have seen in the company’s latest titles and has been the aspect that seems to have gone most unnoticed among users. We will be able to choose different origins and up to 3 initial traits, which have especially caught our attention. For example, one of them points out the possibility of starting the game having our parents alive, whom we will be able to visit at home, but we will earn 10% less money (suggesting that it is money that we will send to them to help them financially) . Another feature presents us with the possibility of starting the game owning a house on our property, but with the drawback of owing a substantial mortgage to one of the fictional banks in the game.
Aspects like the use of weapons shown in the trailer or the possibility of too much superfluous content (due to the massive number of planets) may be slightly worrying, but in the absence of knowing more about the game, we can’t wait to take a stab at it. the tooth to Starfield.
Hollow Knight: Silk Song
It feels like it’s been 89 years since we last heard anything about the development of this highly anticipated title. Three years later with the launch of a new generation of consoles and a pandemic on a scale unimaginable at that time in between, Silksong has finally made an appearance, also confirming that it will come out on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox consoles. When will that departure time be? Unfortunately we still do not know, since the trailer does not have any estimated release date.
redfall
The new from Arkane Studios has been widely present at the event. We have finally been able to see in more detail how the gameplay of the game will unfold and it certainly seems that the unmistakable touch of arkane will also be present here. In an approach that is very reminiscent of titles like Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood, Redfall is one of the most promising cooperative titles in recent years. We’re just waiting for more details on how his progression will work and how much content we’ll have by the time he’s released.
Pentiment
The new Obsidian and Josh Sawyer (the renowned director behind Fallout New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2) had been rumored for months. The title, which was said to be inspired by Disco Elysium Being an RPG devoid of combat, it certainly looked quite different in our heads, compared to what was shown in yesterday’s event trailer. Still, we’re at a very early stage where we’ve seen quite a bit of the title, and the heads of this project promise that we’ll be getting a complex and original RPG at the very least.
Person 3, 4 and 5
In one of the most unexpected script twists of the conference, Phil Spencer himself has come on stage to announce the arrival of this trilogy of true modern JRPG classics on Xbox and Microsoft Windows consoles. It should be noted that, to date, they have remained exclusive to PlayStation platforms, with the sole exception of Persona 4, which came out on Steam a couple of years ago. Now all three will be available on more platforms than ever, translated into Spanish (for the first time in the case of Persona 3 and 4) and of course, will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
Hideo Kojima
Little more can we say than the name of what is possibly the most mythical video game director in the entire industry, and that finally, after endless rumours, it is confirmed that he will work on an exclusive game for Xbox. Not many more details have been given, or if it will be the recently leaked Overdose, but some recent rumors suggest that would be the case.
Xbox Game Studios & Kojima Productions are partnering to create a video game for Xbox like no one has ever experienced before, leveraging the cloud.

Minecraft Legends
The Minecraft franchise continues to expand after the unstoppable success of its original game, and now Minecraft Dungeons as well. Both are now joined by Minecraft Legends, a totally new title that brings its setting to the RTS genre. The trailer hasn’t shown much about the title, but hopefully we’ll get more information as we get closer to the release date.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
The sequel to the critically acclaimed A Plague Tale has also had its bit of a moment at the event. With an extended trailer, which has allowed us to take a detailed look at its setting and combat system, the title promises to dazzle all fans of the original title again.
Best of Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022
These have been the most prominent ads Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022. Of course, there are many more things that have been announced and we would like to comment, such as the new update of Microsoft Flight Simulator, but at this point, more than a summary, we would be transcribing what can already be seen on video, and it would not make much sense. . Microsoft is preparing us for a year 2023 full of exciting news, with a large number of exclusive and third party titles that will also be released on Xbox Game Pass.
