Although for now it is not known how HarmonyOS will reach Spain and the rest of the countries, the possibility of being able to choose between Huawei’s revamped system and the EMUI layer it is in the air. A doubt that can lead us to ask ourselves several things, such as which of them is better, in addition to the fact that we will lose and that we win with each one of them.
So that when the time comes to decide we know well which one to choose and which one to want, we will try to give answers to all the doubts that arise. Both systems can come to give us the needs of the user, but with very relevant aspects to each other that could make us hate or love the phone in our hands.
How does one change and the other?
To make the most appropriate decision, we must think carefully about Google. If we have a Huawei smartphone that has Google services, it is best to choose EMUI to keep them fully functional, since the layer is the only one that will provide us with its use and enjoyment, while in HarmonyOS Huawei services will take the relief.
When talking about the options and tools there are almost no differences between EMUI and HarmonyOS to mention, Huawei has wanted move all your aesthetic and functional work to HarmonyOS and therefore there are no notable differences. In both cases we will be able to continue benefiting from its widgets, themes, quick screenshot options or endless possibilities that never cease to amaze us.
In the day-to-day operation where speed and results speak, we have been able to echo through some videos from China that HarmonyOS pushes its chest out in speed to surpass the Android and EMUI system. For now it is too early to really know if this is the case, but what is certain is that HarmonyOS needs to execute less code than EMUI requires as it is based on Linux, transforming itself into more necessary resources.
Conclusions
If at some point we have to choose which one to choose, the solution seems clear if we have the desire to keep Google services on our mobile, with EMUI as the best option. However, the thing changes if our mobile does not bring the services, by that time Huawei will already have all the alternative apps that will be added to Petal Search or its own Petal Mail and it will be better not to stay with a lagging terminal.
To enjoy the improvements in the system we will first need HarmonyOS, even if that means saying goodbye to Google forever. Cameras, battery, and even processing performance will be optimized through HarmonyOS, while EMUI will cease to be so relevant to Huawei and its devices.
