BBDO is announcing new changes in its team to lead the agency’s digital transformation, in a context where digital is gaining more ground.
After working for three years at MullenLowe SSP3, one of the most successful agencies in Colombia, Camilo Plazas returns to Mexico to be the Vice President and Chief Growth Officer of BBDO.
Changes in the industry, in times where the idea of change is a constant, continues to be a constant in order to adapt to a digital life that, every day, is gaining more ground and is positioning itself as one of the main trends in the market .
We took the step towards the digital age several years ago, albeit at a slow pace and, in that sense, there is still a lot to do. Now, after the arrival of the pandemic, the process had to speed up due to the restrictions caused by the virus that continues to wreak havoc.
Based on this idea, the recent appointment of Camilo Plazas fits into a stage in which digital is one of the most indispensable tools in these times.
Plazas, in this sense, will lead the digital transformation of the agency and will work with clients such as Ford and ExxonMobil, making use of its extensive experience in the digital section after its passage in such important markets as Spain, Mexico and Colombia; for networks like Leo Burnett, DDB and Mullen Lowe.
So, in a context where companies of all kinds are joining the digital market, this can be an important step for BBDO by incorporating Camilo Plazas, now, as its Vice President and Chief Growth Officer.
Through a statement, the CEO of BBDO, Carlos Vaca, spoke of the importance of this movement in which a transformation of the agency is making its way with the aim of competing in a market that is already competitive per se:

The most recent thing about Camilo Plazas was his work at MullenLowe SSP3, one of the most successful agencies in Colombia, where he worked for a period of three years, helping to strengthen the agency’s digital culture.
Regarding his new position at BBDO, Camilo Plazas expressed the following:
