This Wednesday Nintendo surprised its followers when it announced the release date Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch through a post on his Twitter account. Bayonetta 3 arrives on October 28 and among its novelties is a censored mode, which reduces nudity on the screen.
Through his Twitter account, Platinum Games announced “Naive Angel Mode” for Bayonetta 3, which reduces the amount of nudity in the game to avoid awkward situations in your living room, assuming you’re playing with your family present. “By setting this mode to “ON”, it is possible to play in the living room without creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.”, said Platinum Games.

In all three Bayonetta games (and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) when the witch uses her powers she exposes parts of her body, even going completely naked with her most powerful attacks (although always covered in some way). In censored mode Bayonetta keeps her costume on at all times.
Platinum Games showed how this mode works via a clip on their Twitter account, and we can see that the censorship also applies to certain transformations and character designs that show a lot of skin, despite not being fully nude.
Bayonetta’s outfits are made from her hair, which is why she is exposed when using her powers. In Bayonetta 3 it is expected that we will meet other Bayonettas, so we would see variations of these powers that are possibly also censored with the “Naive Angel Mode”.
