new items
MP9: Available on the Deston map, the MP9 is the first fully automatic SMG to use the widely available and handy 9mm ammo, providing an answer to players who enjoy weapons like the P90 but want something more affordable with lots of ammo. Although it has slightly lower effective range, rate of fire, and damage than the P90, it is a great alternative for players who want more options similar to the P90’s style of play.
Folded Shield: Encountering enemies without adequate cover has been a pain point for BATTLEGROUNDS players for years, so in 19.1 comes a new item to help alleviate these types of issues. Available to players on any map, the Folded Shield allows players to carry a portable form of cover that can be easily carried, set up, and hidden behind its time, with a hefty 1500hp that your enemies will have to break before they can hit you. .
Blue Chip Detector: This new tactical gear uses the player’s primary weapon slot and allows them to scan for enemies within 100 meters of their character. The 12 closest enemies will be displayed as dots on the map, updating with each screen update and playing sounds that only the user can hear while detecting enemy movement. The Blue Chip Detector can even detect differences in height, letting players know if the tracked target is above or below them.
New Vehicle – Pillar Security Vehicle: With a top speed of 130 km/h (or about 81 mph) and controllable mounted lights and sirens, this new vehicle allows players to recreate fast-paced chase scenes from the movies while playing on the Deston map. Additionally, high-quality gear can be found in the trunk of the vehicle, so if you see a Pillar Safety Car nearby, be sure to jump in for a bonus.
