First, cut the cheese crosswise into two equal halves. Place the prunes, pitted, covering an entire half, and close the cheese again.
Now proceed to do mummy’s eyes. We have used a grape, from which we have cut two discs, emptied inside, where we have placed half dried cranberry. The important thing is to use any combination of pupil and iris, preferably with fruit, but this combination works wonderfully.
Once the eyes are in place, arrange the breeze dough and cut straight strips of about a centimeter, which will be the bandages of our mummy. One by one go wrapping the cheese, only slightly covering the eyes, to give the figure more realism. Once placed, with the help of a kitchen brush, paint them with beaten egg.
At this point you have two options: You can put the cheese in a small casserole (like the one usually used to make provolone in the oven), so that the cheese does not spill. But if you place the cheese directly on greaseproof paper, the overflowing cheese will be crisp and visually appealing.
Be that as it may, bake the cheese for 15-20 minutes, until well browned. Serve immediately.
