A new week arrives and, with it, new premieres and news on the main video on demand platforms. It is the turn of Netflix that, once the half of the month has passed, continues to surprise with a large amount of content and, best of all, very varied. Today we tell you what’s new this week on Netflix, running August 16-22, 2021 and that adds more than a dozen titles between films, series and documentaries, some of them original. Before leaving you with the complete list of premieres, we recommend two of the most outstanding ones.
The Director – August 20
Starring the Canadian of South Korean origin Sandra Oh, The Director is the new Netflix comic series. The series will put us in the shoes of the head of the English Department of a prestigious university and is directed by David Benioff and DB Weiss, the two main responsible for Game of Thrones. It will be the first series that D&D do for the North American production company.
Sweet Girl – August 20
Vengeance and Jason Momoa They are two things that seem to work very well together and that is precisely what Sweet Girl, a film also distributed exclusively by Netflix, will offer us. In it, the character played by Momoa will have the mission of bring to justice to those responsible for his wife’s death while protecting his daughter, the only family he has left.
