Delays have become the daily bread in the video game industry. The pandemic, the war in Ukraine or increasingly complex developments are just some of the reasons why we have seen different projects postpone their planned release date. In that sense, we have now learned that the expected Atomic Heart would be delayed to 2023, according to a rumor what has shared the Polish portal XGP. According to the information on this portal, the Mundfish studio has stopped development for a month, so the title would be relegated to the first quarter of 2023.
Taking into account that the company that is in charge of the development is based in Russia, the reason for the delay would once again fall within one of the three variables that we discussed at the beginning of this article. However, there is still no official confirmation in this regard, so we will have to continue waiting to find out if the promising Atomic Heart continues to be launched in the last quarter of 2022 or if it will still take a few more months for that to happen. Be that as it may, the Mundfish game is still one of the most anticipated by thousands of users from all over the world, who have been following it since it was first announced in 2017.
Revealed new details of Atomic Heart
Atomic Heart will put us in the shoes of a KGB agent and takes us to an alternative past in which the robots have taken control of the Soviet Union. In this context, we will have a multitude of firearms and melee weapons at our disposal to defend ourselves from the dangers we encounter while exploring a vast open world. Atomic Heart was planned for the end of 2022, but it seems that it will not finally be available until the first months of 2023.
