Russia’s armed attack against Ukraine continues to arouse the solidarity of many personalities in the world.
the last in present an initiative In support of Ukraine, it was the American astronaut Scott Kelly, known for commanding the International Space Station and holding the record for being the person who spent the longest time in space, with a series of non-fungible tokens (NFT).
The collection called Dreams Out of This World (Dreams out of this world), was coined on the Ethereum network and consists of 3,333 illustrations all the samein which Kelly is seen writing a postcard from space.
Additionally, three other collectible tokens with the image of Kelly Each one of them was auctioned an astronaut’s jacket, a pair of gloves that he used in space and the command cap that he used on one of his trips to the space station.
The reception of the collectibles was massive and a total success, since all the pieces were sold in just hours, raising $500,000 on the market for NFT OpenSea.
“Thank you to everyone who supported this project! In the midst of this war, it’s amazing that we can come together through art to help the people of Ukraine. Over $500,000 raised today!” manifested Kelly on her Twitter account.

The funds raised in the auction will be donated to Ukraine through Global Empowerment Missiona nonprofit organization founded in 2011 as a global disaster responder.
“I think the metaverse, cryptocurrencies and blockchains are going to be a big part of our future. So it seemed like the right time to get involved.” highlighted Kelly in recent statements.
NFTs have become an aid tool for Ukraine
The battered financial situation in Ukraine has forced the media in that country to rely on collectible tokens.

News portals Ukrainska Pravda, Novoye Vremya and the NGO broadcaster Hromadske turned to NFTs to support themselves financially and thus be able to report what is happening in their country, while the invasion of Russia is taking place, as reported by CriptoNoticias.
People buying the NFTs will have access to curated content through the publications’ teams of journalists and photographers. They will also see photos, videos, links to stories and recommended reading.
Recently, in Ukraine, the Law on Virtual Assets was enacted, which gives legal support to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in that country, due to the enormous amount of donations in bitcoin, ether and other cryptocurrencies that the Ukrainian government is receivingto deal with the armed attack launched by Russia on its territory.
