We know that Ubisoft is working on Assassin’s Creed: Rift and Assassin’s Creed Infinity but there are few details about these games, but the new rumors suggest that Infinity will be the platform on which Ubisoft launches the next installments of the series, with one of them set in Japan.
According to a report from Kotaku, In addition to working on Infinity, Ubisoft is working on a new open world Assassin’s Creed called Project Red, which would be set somewhere in Asia.

This weekend Jeff Grubb said the next Assassin’s Creed will be set in Japan, but Kotaku’s Ethan Gach says his sources can’t confirm that. However, Gach says that not only has Japan been a highly requested location by fans, it has also been discussed internally at Ubisoft for a long time.
According to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, the aforementioned Project Red is actually part of Assassin’s Creed: Infinity, as Ubisoft’s plans are for AC: Infinity to be the platform on which the following games in the series are published. However, it is expected that we will first see the release of Assassin’s Creed: Rift, which started from an expansion of AC: Valhalla.
Although at the moment these are just rumors, today Ubisoft confirmed that it will show the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise in September, possibly during the transmission of the Ubisoft Forward announced a few weeks ago.
