Those of Arctic Trucks return to the fray with a suggestive proposal, this time on the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. The SUV of the three-diamond brand leaves aside its more touring character to offer itself with outstanding off-road capacity.
Who does not remember «Where a Mitsubishi Pajero no one comes.” It was one of the last slogans of the Japanese brand to demonstrate the off-road qualities of its SUV. A principle that the Norwegian specialists have followed to the letter since 1998 in all their creations, using pick-up or SUVs to adapt them to the most difficult conditions and reach the most inhospitable places.
The new proposal is based, specifically, on a model of the three diamond brand, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sports. This Mitsubishi model, which is not sold in Europe, is more off-road thanks to improvements to Arctic Truckswhich sets aside its more comfortable and touring character to get off the asphalt and have fun to the fullest.

How could it be otherwise, most of the news has focused on the chassis. The most outstanding is, clearly, the greater height of the bodywork to the ground. new ones special off-road tires in size 315/70mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels, have been enough to increase the height of the bodywork to the ground up to 270 millimeters. An increase that has varied the angles of attack and departure from the original 30 and 24.2º to 34.5º and 28.8º, respectively.
In addition, some special extensions on the wheel arches that hide the larger and wider tires, painted in the same color as the bodywork so as not to stand out too much. The improvements are completed with a special protections finished in satin aluminum for both the engine case and the exhaust components.
The model is offered in two mechanical versions, the 2.4-liter diesel and 180 hp or a brutal 3.0-liter V6 gasoline and 220 hp, both with automatic transmission and the distinguished “Super Select II” all-wheel drive system. This brilliant system allows directing all the power flow to the rear wheels, dividing it among the four with or without central locking, also adding a gearbox. Since this model is not offered in Europe, but in Russia, the Norwegians from Arctic Trucks have confirmed that the same configuration can be transferred to the L200 without any problem. So, if you are interested in making this pick-up more gross, this is your option.
