It seems that always yes, Manzana would be about to present at least two new computers. Specifically one iMac and one MacBook Pro. Contrary to what the latest reports made us assume, which suggested a more conservative strategy on the part of the firm.
There is absolute confusion around the company of the guys from Cupertino after the presentation of their most recent model of the family iPhone. And apparently we were all clear that Tim Cook’s company would present new smartphones in September, but no one knew what would happen with the other pending products the rest of the year.
A few weeks ago rumors circulated of a discreet update to the iPad line, where some models would receive a necessary and urgent update in their technical specifications. Without being big or devastating enough to justify a keynote.
But such reports only fueled the urgency over an issue that many had already forgotten: the relative abandonment of the line of desktop and laptop computers. But there is probably good news in that area.
Apple would launch a new iMac and at least one MacBook Pro soon
After a week of rumors and frankly contradictory reports about the launch of new Apple devices, the star editor of Bloombergwhen it comes to Apple matters, Mark Gurman, has published the latest edition of his newsletter Power On.
There, the subject reveals that Apple would always have an event in the month of October 2023, where it could present a new iMacwhich has been completely forgotten for a long time without an update to its hardware, as well as a new MacBook Pro:
“Apple retail stores are short on iMacs, as well as 13-inch MacBook Pros and high-end MacBook Pros, two other models that may need to be upgraded.”
This is what Gurman points out, arguing that current retail supplies and shipping dates for certain models show delays until November, a date that coincides with the presentation of the company’s financial results, which this year will be done until November instead of October.
So the sum of factors plus other confidential data would be enough for the journalist to affirm that in the final stretch of this month of October we will have new computers.
The guy even goes so far as to speculate that the launch event could take place on October 30 or 31. So the time left is minimal.
The 24-inch M1 iMac went on sale in April 2021 and has not been updated since. While the 13-inch MacBook Pro M2 was launched in June 2022.
So both products are already in need of a hardware renewal.
