We will no longer depend on the Photos app to be able to edit clips recorded with cinema mode.
With the arrival of the new iPhone 13 last September we saw important news appearing for the first time on iOS. One of the most impressive was the cinema mode, which came to the Camera app to show off of the capabilities of the A15 Bionic chip. And what if he takes advantage of it, because the truth is that it achieves the most interesting results.
For those who do not know what the cinema mode is, it is a new feature that allows you to apply blur effects while recording with the iPhone 13. In addition, it is capable of doing it intelligently, focusing on the main subject of the frame, although it is also possible to select it manually. All this on a mobile phone, without the need for additional equipment or software.
This new functionality was one of the great protagonists of that event, and now it is in the hands of the users to put it to the test. However, it is also necessary to have editing software that allows us to make the most of each clip. And that’s where iMovie for Mac now comes in, which has been updated with support for editing clips created through cinema mode.
In the same way that it can be done through the Photos app, now iMovie for Mac will allow you to modify the intensity of the effect. This functionality will not be available with other editing programs, which will simply render the cinema mode clips as normal videos, while keeping the blur effect applied on the iPhone.
Thus, those who want to use their Mac to edit the videos recorded through cinema mode they will have it a little easier. And, of course, they will not need anything else to share it with friends, family, or even to create our own movie. The narrative is already up to each one.
