Apple just released the Release Candidate for macOS Monterey. Almost a month after iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15 and watchOS 8 have reached their official version, the operating system of our Macs continues to finalize all the details.
RC after a really long cycle
It is already common for updates to the operating system of our Macs to arrive somewhat later than their variants for the iPhone or iPad. In the end it is a more complex operating system and that has to work on more types of device.
Given how advanced the beta process is we don’t expect to see big news in this update. Remember, however, that in the last version Apple placed the “Beta” sign in Universal Control, so we could see changes in this regard.
If we want to enter the beta cycle we can do it by following these steps or create a bootable installer of the system, but it is necessary to bear in mind that we are talking about development versions containing bugs.
Already within the beta cycle, we will find the update in the app Settings as an OTA update. During the first hours, Apple servers can receive more demand than usual, so the waiting time can be lengthened.
