One of the most anticipated moments for fans and consumers of the products of the company co-founded by Steve Jobs has arrived: the Apple Store online has finally launched operations in Chile.
In Mexico For years there has been a virtual online presence of this official sales channel for the guys from Cupertino. But in the rest of Latin America this situation simply did not happen.
Only Brazil was the only other territory where the company Tim Cook had formally started its operations in the southern cone of the continent.
So now with the arrival in Chile a new era begins that opens important paths for the direct official distribution of Apple products, both in the country and in that area of Latin America.
For those who read us outside of that nation: That does not mean that Apple products have just formally arrived in the country. On the contrary, other official sales channels have existed for years.
So now with the arrival of the Cupertino friends store, the question is rather what changes it will imply for the consumption and distribution dynamics that were previously experienced.
In any case, this is good news for all customers of these gadgets and here we explain why.
The online Apple Store arrives in Chile and consumers win
Through an official statement On their website the guys from Apple have published all the details about the activation of their official sales channel in Chile.
Where, similar to what happened in Mexico a long time ago. What is formally called an online Apple Store is activated. An official online store where users can purchase their apple products directly from the manufacturer:
“We are very excited to be able to expand to Chile with the launch of the online Apple Store. We love being able to create magical experiences for all our clients.
From allowing them to unleash their creativity to helping them tap into their entrepreneurial side, we’re excited to provide our customers with new ways to discover and purchase our amazing products and services, including the new iPhone 15 lineup and Apple Watch Series 9. ″.
This is what Deirdre O’Brien, Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple, points out about this opening that implies some important changes for the benefit of consumers.
In the past, in Chile there was only what is known as Official Resellerswhich are official distributors through resale channels.
Although these companies served as official representatives of Apple in Chile, the reality is that the variety of products available was different from what we will see from now on.
For example, there was little stock of iMac colors and the variety of accessories was also very limited. Now the availability will be broader since these sales channels remain parallel to the online Apple Store.
By opening this channel there will now be direct treatment between Apple and the customer, without intermediaries. Thanks to which the company will offer a series of features that were not previously available in Chile.
Warranty support, technical service and Apple Care are fully integrated into the range of services now available.
At the same time, it opens up the possibility of customizing some products, in terms of processor, RAM, graphics card, color, etc.
Product engraving will also be available, as will material combinations when ordering an Apple Watch.
The possibilities are now much broader than before and that is appreciated. Everything at a simple click away.
