When Manzana revealed at the end of his Scary Fast keynote, where we learned about the M3 family of processors, we were impressed by the revealing caption that the entire event had been recorded using an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The statement was so forceful after having seen the final result of the recording that it even ended up triggering an editorial piece in which we evaluated the potential future projection of how this type of smartphone camera could facilitate and improve our home productions.
But it seems that not everything was as perfect, magical and complete as it seemed. Since a behind-the-scenes video has just been published showing how the production of this presentation conference was carried out.
The supposed goal was to continue feeding the narrative of the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s power as an almost professional camera. But those who understand this type of production ended up somewhat disenchanted.
To such a degree that they have even questioned the real potential of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, at least to achieve the final results seen in that keynote. Since the phone’s camera itself was the central element, but the production was supported by many accessories much more expensive than the device.
Apple reveals how it made its keynote with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and sparks controversy over the camera
It turns out that the guys from Cupertino have released a video on his official YouTube channel where they basically illustrate what the production process of their keynote titled Scary Fast was like.
As we have already highlighted, at the end of this event the legend was shown that everything had been filmed with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and now this video shows how this was achieved:
Although the piece lasting a couple of minutes corroborates that everything was actually done with this model as an element for filming everything, criticism was immediate.
Since to a large extent all the other elements that gave life to the final product are professional video filming accessories.
From the priceless lighting kit to the rig, the dolly, the stabilizer, the gimbal, some drones and even a Space Cam.
Each element there was essential to achieve the impact result that the final video of the presentation had, but many of the pieces shown were more expensive than the iPhone 15 Pro Max itself.
Here we share some of the reviews on X, formerly Twitter:

Alright so yesterday Apple revealed that yesterday’s event was shot on the iPhone (15 Pro/Pro Max)
They’ve also now published some BTS, and as expected there’s a LOT of gear alongside that iPhone… but there’s still a lot to learn here. Here’s my biggest takeaways (Thread) pic.twitter.com/TG0Wfx0JUp
