Within the music industry, the world of classical music is especially particular. Attention to detail is incredibly important to them, and they require specific features that not all streaming services have. Today, Apple has taken a new step to meet your expectations.
A few hours ago, Apple has announced the purchase of Primephonic through a Press release. Primephonic is a streaming service dedicated especially to classical music. A platform that has grown offering a perfected experience for this genre, with human healing. And that soon, it will be part of Apple Music.
Primephonic made available to its subscribers features such as a specialized search engine, access to the metadata of each piece, and of course high fidelity music. These functionalities will be made available to users through a new app dedicated to classical music. A new experience that will arrive in 2022, according to Apple.
For now, no more details are known about what this new Apple Music Classical app will look like. It is also not known if it will be part of the current subscription or if there will be changes in the rates. For now, Apple has confirmed that Primephonic will stop working from September 7. In return, subscribers will receive six months of Apple Music, plus a corresponding money back, if applicable.
Step by step, Apple continues to develop its music service, looking for new ways to attract users to the platform. Last June they introduced lossless music and Dolby Atmos at no additional cost. Today, the company is committed to a really demanding public through the purchase of this service.
