As one of the great references of the recent battle royale genre, apex legends dragging behind it a huge audience always eager for news and new content. Now we know that the Apex Legends next-gen update could be imminent, as the PlayStation Size Twitter account has made known, which is dedicated to informing about the size of the patches that land on the games of Sony machines. However, the information offered by this profile can be perfectly extrapolated to Xbox, since Apex Legends is a multiplatform title and would share the same fate on both platforms.
According to this source, a PlayStation 5 version of Apex Legends would already be on the way and would have a download size of 80GB, no more additional patches. Other users comment that the date chosen by Respawn Entertainment could be the first week of February, so there would be hardly anything left to enjoy Apex Legends in its improved version for the new generation of consoles. For now there is nothing confirmed by either Respawn or Electronic Arts, so we will have to keep waiting to find out the true validity of this information.
The creators of Apex Legends would be working on a new shooter that is not Titanfall 3
In the meantime, remember that Apex Legends is already available on Xbox platforms and that being free-to-play does not require an active subscription to Xbox Live Gold to be able to enjoy its battle royale proposal, in which only one can stay alive. Rumors have also recently pointed out that Respawn Entertainment would be close to presenting its next project, the expected one Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, which would be official before E3 2022.
