The new staging of the franchise starwars from Disney has already arrived on the platform. The series starring Diego Luna in the skin of Cassian Andor, Five years before the story of the rogue spy in Rogue One, it has premiered three episodes in a row and fans have quickly made the series a hit.
Although the need for a series revolving around Andor was questioned at first, since little was known about the character and his final fate had already been sealed with his death in Rogue One, the product has caught on among fans, being praised for bringing an even more elaborate aesthetic than Obi-Wan Kenobi, the other great Lucasfilm proposal that premiered in May of this year.
When will the second season arrive?
According to Tony Gilroy, the second season of Andor will begin recording very soon: “I have two more years left. We started shooting Part 2 in November. Our previous lapse was two years, but I mean, I’ll keep going. We will shoot from November to August. And then our post-production, the last time, lasted a year, ”he said, so we can expect a possible premiere for 2024.
Gilroy couldn’t be happier with what he’s worked on for Star Wars and mentions that he’s a part of the universe now and won’t be leaving any time soon. “This is the biggest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve always had a very agile approach to this. I never take a job close to another job. I always did one thing at a time and moved and never did a company or got a letterhead or never had a production deal or anything. This is the longest time I have spent anywhere. […] By the time I was done, I had 26 hours of Star Wars content on my hands. So I’m already part of this. This is me staying right now. I think that’s the headline.”
