The next time you lose your patience – remember this!
According to a University of Pittsburgh study, yelling instead of disciplining causes children to behave in an aggressive, destructive, and challenging manner. And they found that the little ones who are yelled at most frequently have: low self-esteem, concentration problems, depression pictures, they do not learn to control their emotions and they do not know how to deal with frustration since screaming can cause the same emotional consequences as physical punishment.
Children are an imitation of what they see, so we cannot expect them to behave well if they are treated with violence. To avoid yelling at the slightest provocation, follow these tips:
When you feel like you are going to lose control, stay away from him for a few minutes.
Do not take anything personal, children do not do it to bother you, they never wake up thinking about how to make life difficult for you.
Learn from your mistakes, if you’ve already yelled at them, it’s always a good time to change that. Remember that you are learning to be a mom.
Find a hobby, having something to do besides being a mom will help you get rid of frustration in a healthier way.
