This prototype of the original iPod is going to surprise, both for its color, buttons and size.
Just met 20 years since the announcement of the original iPod, one of those Apple devices that have gone down in history and that allowed us to enjoy our favorite songs on a device that we could even carry in any pocket.
And perhaps to celebrate this important technological event, application developer Panic has shared the first images of an extremely rare iPod prototype It was never marketed, with an imposing yellow color and quite large compared to the version of the iPod that we all remember.
The shared images let us see the device from various parts stating that this prototype is dated September 3, 2001, remembering that the original device was presented for the first time on October 23, 2001 by Steve Jobs.

This prototype runs exclusive iPod software and even has a small scroll wheel in the upper left corner, which lies next to the screen. There are also several vertical buttons on the right side of the device.
This prototype of iPod very rare it has the same ports we saw on the original iPod, including FireWire and a standard headphone port. The screen is surprising, which is very small compared to the rest of the yellow case.
Being able to appreciate this prototype that has not been seen before is quite a gift to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPod, but the people of Panic say that they have no idea where they acquired this prototype.
Clearly, it must be worth thousands and thousands of dollars on the collectibles market, given the price Apple electronics fetch at auction houses.
