Shortly after Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto 5 in 2013, it released the game’s online multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online. Grand Theft Auto Online it has proven to be a massive success for Rockstar Games, and in turn has given GTA 5 unprecedented longevity.
Grand Theft Auto Online it’s still running strong to this day, with Rockstar regularly releasing new content for the game. Which arrive in relatively small batches, although from time to time it launches a major expansion, such as the DLC, Atraco a Cayo Perico.
It has been rumored that Rockstar could be planning an even bigger update for Grand Theft Auto Online, and while this rumor has been out there for years with nothing of substance coming out, this has been reiterated in a new report. Citing as a source an alleged Rockstar Games insider, according to whom Grand Theft Auto Online will add Liberty City to the game as part of a new expansion.
Years ago Liberty City expansion rumored for Grand Theft Auto Online, but nothing has been done about it, and with Grand Theft Auto 6 in active development, it seems more and more unlikely that it will materialize. Considering this, fans should take the leak with reservations.
The report states that the players of Grand Theft Auto Online will have more to look forward to, plus an expansion of Liberty City. If the report is to be believed, GTA Online will receive “up to 20 new radio stations” as well as a new game mode called Cops ‘n Crooks.
New story content starring Don Percival is also said to be on the way for GTA Online, but again, fans are best treated with skepticism for now.
