Star football player Damar Hamlin is in critical condition after going into cardiac arrest during a game for the Buffalo Bills against the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to a post on the official Buffalo Bills twitter account, confirm that Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after receiving a blow during the aforementioned match. The player had his heart rhythm restored on the field of play before being transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for further testing and treatment.

What were the facts of the incident?
Damar Hamlin was tackling Bengals receiver Tee Higgins at Cincinnati, Ohio Stadium when Higgins’ helmet appeared to hit Hamlin in the chest. After standing up, he fell backwards.
Players from both teams gathered around Hamlin as emergency medical personnel performed CPR and oxygen. Several of them seemed visibly distressed for his companion, many knelt down to pray and some cried on the spot.
He received medical attention in the field for more than 30 minutes before being transferred to a nearby hospital. The NFL suspended the game about an hour after the incident.
Jordon Rooney, Hamlin’s representative, wrote on Twitter: “His vital signs are back to normal and he has been put to sleep to have a breathing tube placed down his throat. They are running tests right now. We will provide updates as we have them.”
