It will remain as a waiting time simulator.
Probably, those who play regularly on PC, will have been aware of the recent release of Lost Ark, the new Amazon MMO that, with a free to play model, came to try to break into the world of massively multiplayer. In fact, whoever has tried to connect on more than one occasion will have had to endure almost endless queues to access the servers, since player traffic is much higher than expected. However, there is bad news for European server players: Servers in Central Europe cannot be expanded.
Said information has been announced by Lost Ark officially through its forum. Lamenting the situation, his explanation has been as follows: “The Central Europe region is full and unfortunately there is no way to increase the number of players per world in Central Europe. It is not possible to add more servers due to the complexity of all the systems that need to work together“.
In addition, they also invite newer players or players with little progress to head to the Western Europe server, which is less problematic than the Central Europe one. The Western Europe server has been implemented much less time, so it is the ideal server for new players in our environment.
There is no doubt that Amazon is reaping great success from the first with Lost Arkalthough they will have to work properly to keep a good part of their current public and don’t happen to them like with New World, whose traffic is low after a good performance in its first months. However, given the difficult solution of the European servers, it is most likely that the patience of many players will end up running out, finally staying the more niche audience that Lost Ark is primarily aimed at. In any case, we will have to see what next announcements the Amazon title makes, since it is known that they are working intensively on new updates, both in content and performance.
