The Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022 It has been one of the most important events of recent times in the video game sector. The Redmond company presented a total of 35 games to be released in the next 12 months, some of them exclusive and others third party, with temporary exclusivity on Xbox consoles. In this way, before the tide of video games that took place on the broadcast stage, you may have doubts about which of them are exclusive to the brand and which are not.
Well, in the list that you can see below we detail all games featured in the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase that are not exclusive to Xbox consoles, so they will also come to PlayStation or Nintendo Switch consoles. You should know that beyond Xbox Game Studios games like Starfield, Redfall or Pentiment, there are other cases that deal with temporary exclusivities, coming to Xbox consoles first. Among these games are Cocoon, Ark II, Ereban: Shadow Legacy, High on Life, Lightyear Frontier or The Last Case of Benedict Fox. However, as its presence on other platforms has not yet been confirmed, below are those titles that have, so they are not xbox exclusive.
Hollow Knight Silksong
One of the most anticipated games in recent years is Hollow Knight: Silk Song, the sequel to the acclaimed game by Team Cherry. Until his appearance at this year’s Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, its presence was only confirmed on Nintendo Switch and PC, so it is not an exclusive game for Xbox consoles. In fact, this revelation probably also confirm its arrival on PlayStation consoles when its official launch occurs.
The news in this regard is that Hollow Knight: Silksong The day of its premiere will arrive on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox consoles, so all subscribers to the service will be able to enjoy Hornett’s adventures at no cost when the title hits the market, something that Xbox assures will be for the next twelve months.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
Speaking of sequels, another of the titles that was seen in depth at the event was A Plague Tale: Requiem, the second installment of the Asobo Studio license. After the multiplatform release of A Plague Tale: Innocence, the studio already confirmed that the same would happen with its sequel, so is already fully confirmed for PlayStation consoles. In this way, the new adventures of Amicia and Hugo will receive a simultaneous release in all of them.
As with Hollow Knight: Silksong, the big news comes for subscribers to Xbox GamePass, as it will be another launch title to hit the service. At the moment there is no set date for the release of A Plague Tale: Requiem, but it has been confirmed again that it will be this yearso we should have news about it very soon.
Overwatch 2
The great news of Overwatch 2 was that it will adopt the format free to play, something totally unexpected and that has been received with open arms by the entire community. The stage to announce this surprising news was the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, how could it be otherwise, since Activision Blizzard will soon become part of the Xbox Game Studios roster. Nevertheless, this is not an xbox exclusive game.
Overwatch 2 is confirmed for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles from the first moment it was announced, so it will be available on all platforms next October 4 when its early access is released. It remains to be seen what happens to the Activision Blizzard licenses once the purchase is finalized, but for the time being this is the situation.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
One of the most interesting announcements from the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase was Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, a video game that invites us to fight against hosts in the afterlife, due to a door that has been opened to connect the two worlds. However, although this title will not sound familiar to many, it was already announced and the scenario in which it was made makes it clear that it is not an exclusive Xbox proposal. And it is that its reveal trailer in CGI premiered in a State of Play, so is fully confirmed for PlayStation consoles.
On Xbox consoles, however, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass from the moment of its premiere, something that was the usual trend throughout the event, giving more importance than ever to the subscription service. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2023.
minecraft:legends
The Minectaft universe is going to expand with minecraft:legends, a real-time strategy game based on all the classic aspects of the Mojang title, who have been owned by Microsoft for several years. This can lead to confusion about its presence on other platforms, but Minecraft has always been a special exclusive license and all of their titles have been released on other consoles so far.
Thus, Minecraft: Legends will be released on both PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoleswhen it hits the market at some point yet to be determined 2023. Of course, it will also be a launch game on Xbox Game Pass.
Devil IV
Another of the Activision Blizzard titles that were important in the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase was Devil IV, one of the most anticipated video games of the moment. The company presented a complete gameplay material and, in addition, the premiere of the necromancer class, the fifth and last one that remained to be confirmed. What was not disclosed was its release date, so we will have to wait for it at some point in 2023as stated in its presentation trailer.
As with Overwatch 2, since the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft has not yet been finalized, there is no exclusivity with Diablo IV, so its launch is more than confirmed on PlayStation consoles. It will also come to Game Pass on launch day.
ravenlock
The case of Ravenlok is the one that presents the most doubtssince in none of its official pages it is implied that it will reach other platforms, but on the official Xbox page about everything presented in the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase no type of title exclusivity is indicated, so there are two options: that it is not, or that it is an error on the page in question. At the moment we put it in the list of non-exclusive games, but this could change in the coming days, joining the list of temporary exclusive games that we mentioned above.
Ravenlok is a very original proposal, in which the player puts himself at the controls of a young woman to explore a fantasy world in the purest style of Alice in Wonderland. Nothing is known about its release date, so we will have to wait until 2023 to play it, both on Xbox and PlayStation consoles (we assume). What is clear is that coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Koei Tecmo was also seen at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase conference in a block dedicated to the Japanese market, one of Phil Spencer’s great desires. And it seems that his trips to Japan in countless meetings have paid off, because beyond the collaboration with Hideo Kojima to create a completely new and exclusive proposal for Xbox consoles, other big announcements have also been made. One of the most prominent was Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
However, hours later it was learned that this title with a more than reasonable resemblance to Nioh, will also be available on PlayStation consoles, so it is not an Xbox exclusive, as it might seem at the event. What is great news is that it will arrive at launch on Xbox Game Pass, something not very common with titles on the Japanese market.
Person
Finally, in this list of Xbox & Bethesda Showcase games that are not exclusive to Xbox consoles, we must talk about the saga Person. There is no doubt that Phil Spencer and his team know how to listen to their public and have responded willingly to one of the most insistent requests from the community. Thus, Persona 5 will be available on Xbox consoles, being a PlayStation exclusive at its launch. However, the other two announced titles will not come exclusively to Microsoft machines either.
Thus, the announcement of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden that was revealed at the event, will also occur on other systems. However, the simple news that one of the sagas most in demand by the Xbox public will be available on the brand’s consoles is already excellent. And, in case you were wondering, all three titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass.
