Nissan Qashqai e-Power, an electrified SUV created for Europe
The new Qashqai e-Power has been developed specifically for the European market. The company emphasizes that the system offers perfect performance thanks to the fact that the drive wheels are moved exclusively by an electric motor. This allows you to enjoy an instant, linear and smooth response. It is one of the keys to e-Power technology. The internal combustion engine will not engage to power the vehicle.
Power to drive the electric motor is generated by a variable compression turbocharged petrol engine that runs very quietly. The energy is stored in a 2.1 kWh lithium-ion battery and feeds the electric motor through an inverter. And in the event of an extreme request for acceleration, the energy generated by the combustion engine can go directly to the electric motor without going through the inverter.
The Qashqai e-Power is equipped with the Nissan e-Pedal system. A system that, when activated, makes it possible to drive using only the accelerator pedal as moderate braking is applied when the foot is lifted from the accelerator pedal.
