Microids revealed a couple of months ago that the Spanish studio Pendulo Studios was developing a video game called Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo, which is a adaptation that is loosely inspired by the movie from the well-known filmmaker. The bad thing is that the title was supposed to go on sale this year and finally it will not happen, at least on consoles.
Those responsible for games like Runaway or Hollywood Monsters have announced that the launch delayed to 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and Nintendo Switch. However, except for last minute changes, the PC version is scheduled to be published on Steam later this year.
In addition to all this, the announcement has been accompanied by a new trailer courtesy of the guys at IGN where we can take a look at some of the most fundamental plot points of this psychological thriller. Our protagonist will be the writer Ed Miller, who was unharmed from a car accident, assuring that his daughter and his wife were with him at the time of the catastrophe.
However, no one else was found in the wreckage, causing trauma to Ed. So, history will deal with topics like obsession, memory, manipulation, and insanity as we try to find out the truth of what happened on various timelines in order to separate reality from misleading memories.
