The end of the world is close? There are theories and assumptions that speak of the fact that the Earth or the human race could be close to its last days. A prediction by Albert Einstein, made in 1949, feeds this type of apocalyptic hypothesis with which we live daily on the Internet.
We all know, at least the basics, about Albert Einstein. He was a German theoretical physicist, considered one of the most influential scientists in history. His contributions revolutionized our understanding of the universe and laid the foundation for modern physics.
Einstein is primarily known for formulating the theory of relativity, which includes the special theory of relativity (published in 1905) and the general theory of relativity (published in 1915).
Both theories transformed our conception of space, time, gravity, and the interaction of matter and energy. Watch out for this next image.
What does that have to do with the end of the world?
Nothing. The chronicler reviews some statements by the German physicist, four years after the end of the Second World War.
When asked about warfare, Einstein said that he did not know how the Third World War was going to be fought, “but the Fourth World War will be fought with sticks and stones.”
With these statements, the renowned scientist refers to the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear weapons for example. This, for his gaze, leads us to the end of our species.
The advancement of technology has become a threat to world peace, if it were to happen that these growths are used for evil. Einstein has a significant weight to say these kinds of things. His statements appear right before the premiere of the film that will tell the story of Robert Oppenheimer, creator of the atomic bomb.
