Unfortunately, today it has been revealed that Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp It will no longer be available on April 8, 2022, as expected, as a result of the world events that we have seen in recent days. Thus, the game has been delayed indefinitely.
Through a statement shared on the official Nintendo of America account on Twitter, it has been revealed that this pack of remakes of the tactical games that we originally saw on the Game Boy Advance, now it will arrive in an as yet unspecified future. This was what was said about it:
“In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch on April 8. Stay tuned for updates for a new release date.”

Although not directly mentioned, world events Nintendo is referring to is the war between Russia and Ukraine. This is not the first time something like this has happened. In 2001, the original Advance Wars was delayed in Europe and Japan, this after the attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York on September 11.
This is the second time that Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp is delayed. On related topics, Twitch blocks payment from users in Russia. Similarly, TikTok and Netflix restrict their platforms in this country.
Editor’s note:
Considering that Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp was just out, this means that the game will be available once Nintendo considers that the world situation is adequate. Hopefully WayForward, who are running this project, will take the extra time to continue polishing this experience.
