After many years of silence, fans of the Dragon Age fantasy franchise are in for a treat lately. Just a few days ago BioWare announced that the next installment in the saga would be titled Dragon Age: Dread Wolf and confirmed the return of Solas, but there is more. And it is that now Netflix presents Dragon Age: Absolutionan animated series that will arrive in December of this year and that has been seen in a first and spectacular trailer that has left all fans of this iconic and beloved saga that has always put the spotlight on its characters.
Netflix has not yet delved into the plot of the series, something that will be discussed later, but it has offered the first details. Are these:
- Set in Tevinter, an empire within the Dragon Age universe.
- Created in collaboration with BioWare, creators of the Dragon Age video game franchise (winner of over 130 Game of the Year awards).
- It will feature a cast of new characters inspired by Dragon Age lore: including elves, wizards, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons, and other special surprises.
This could be the release window for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf
What Netflix has been able to confirm is that Dragon Age: Absolution will premiere in december of this year on a date yet to be specified and that will be an animated series of six episodes.
