It seems incredible, but Alan Wake Remastered is very real, it will be released soon and its first images! The classic adventure game of Remedy Entertainment, which laid the foundations for the studio’s most modern titles such as Quantum Break or Control, is back through the big door.
As director Sam Lake himself had anticipated this week, the complete remastering – that is, base game more DLC– reaches PC and consoles with a maximum resolution of 4K and improved graphics “including the modeling of the protagonist and cinematics”.
Information that sounded little to us at the time, but thanks to these new images (via Gematsu) we can see that the studio’s ambition goes beyond a pixel rush and FPS rate: characters, settings, lighting and textures, among other things, they have adapted to modern times after eleven years of narrative excellence.
Back in 2010, Alan Wake’s original game conquered Xbox 360 gamers with a thriller psychological where our protagonist has to deal with a variety of problems (much to the taste of Stephen King) that mix realism and supernatural elements. It is still too early to know its exact release date, as well as the technical breakdown complete, but we know it will be with us this fall.
