The world of speedrunning always gives us great stories and this time we have one of the good ones. Dan Burbank has become the current holder of the world record on all 16 slopes of Mario Kart 64, in all formats.
That is, for the community there are two categories, the one-lap record and the usual three, so actually owns 32 records. In all of them, Burbank is the winner simultaneously and with the particularity that the laps omit the possible shortcuts that exist.
A battle that Burbank has waged for no less than eight years. One of his toughest opponents has been Matthias Rustemeyer, another speedrunner who reached 31/32 records possible on eight different occasions.
In fact, both share marks, since Burbank has completed 13 ties of the 32 possible times. The truth is that, as TheGamer reveals, Rustemeyer played with many ballots against, since a group known as The Anti-1,000, in which Burbank was, was in charge of breaking new records of Rustemeyer to prevent him from achieving the feat.
Burbank separated from the group and has managed to obtain the 32/32 by hiding his times, avoiding the eyes of The Anti-1,000. Now you can easily boast that it is practically impossible to win a race.
