Samsung’s worst nightmare happens to your foldable phone!
This week Samsung has made the news again for a reason that it has wanted to leave in the past for years. According to a tweet posted by a user of the Korean company’s latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, exploded while being packed for a shipment. Fittingly, the protagonist of this story was in time to film while this was happening.
Chad Christian, an expert on investing and trading stocks from the United States, shared on his account Twitter the story related to this fact. After posting the images of the smoking Galaxy Z Fold 3, he clarified that the problem was probably not with the phone itself and that the battery may have suffered structural damage after falling off a bicycle.
A Galaxy Z Fold 3 reminds Samsung of its worst moment
Fortunately, the explosion of this Galaxy Z Fold 3 left Chad no physical injuries to regret. For now, wait for a response from Samsung regarding the event that has cost you its folding phone of almost 2,000 euros.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 blew up on me when I was getting ready to box it up. Had to throw it in the garage. Definitely had some integrity damage. Can you imagine if it did this in shipping 🙁 pic.twitter.com/OnPHfZmKod

“The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 exploded when I was getting ready to pack. I had to throw it in the garage. There must have been some damage to it. Can you imagine if this happened in shipping? “
In subsequent tweets he clarified:
For the record this phone (which I just came back from a Samsung repair center where they said to just mail it in for replacement) fell off my bike a week or so ago. I am sure it had integrity damage which caused this. I don’t suspect this is a Note 7 type issue….

“FYI, this phone (which I just brought in from a Samsung repair center where they told me to send it in for replacement) fell off my bike a while ago. About a week. I think there was an integrity breach that caused this. I don’t suspect this to be a Note 7 type problem. “
While issues with smoking batteries and phones are not a new story for Samsung, after the unlucky Galaxy Note 7, the company has been more strict with this component. And although Samsung has yet to declare regarding this fact, it is very likely not the rule in all these teams.
