According to several Japanese retail stores, Sony would put on sale at the end of July a Review of the original model of PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. At the moment, it is not known if it has something to do with the rumored redesign of the console to deal with the lack of stock due to the shortage of semiconductors, but the first information shows a slight change in machine weight.
Although it is not known exactly what internal changes this PS5 Digital Edition review might have, it appears to be 300g lighter than the original design, as well as having a thumb screw for base from the console, so the stand can be removed without the need for a screwdriver. Hardware changes may be related to the sheer size of the heatsink or fan, although it’s too early to tell for sure.
It appears a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition revision (CFI-1100B) is being listed by Japanese retailers

According to the source, this revision of the Sony console would go on sale with the next production batch to end of this same month of July. There does not appear to be any change from the original price of $ 399.99 or euros.
As for the widespread lack of PlayStation 5 stock, Sony has warned that it will last through all of 2021, at the very least. Even so, the Japanese company plans to sell more new-generation consoles than PS4 sold during the same period on sale, that is, 14.8 million consoles until the end of March 2022. We will see how the supply issue progresses over the next few months
