The Apex Legends gaming community is always looking for ways to capitalize on each new Legend that is added to Respawn Entertainment’s video game, and Apex Legends character concepts aren’t particularly new to the gaming community.
Something that we find quite remarkable is that players regularly share their ideas for Legends that could shake up the meta and cause chaos in the game. Some, like this Titanfall Specter concept, would fit right into Storm Point, but others may require a lot of acclimatization on the part of the player base.
That’s definitely the case for Hank, a legend proposed by Redditor Tales_of_Earth, and despite the obvious humor involved in the suggestion, he could actually be pretty cool. The Redditor said: “I always wanted a character that is just a guy named Hank.
Like a janitor who through a terrible series of events ends up in the games. Voice lines that are mostly just him reacting to the senseless violence and the shock of being resurrected. Maybe a lot of lines begging for his life or for someone to help him escape.”
While Hank sounds like a useless character, Redditor actually crafted the abilities he would possess, and they’re mostly just a minor inconvenience to enemies. “His abilities would be based on luck and desperation,” they said.
“Passive: Has 2 extra gear slots, but moves a bit slower when they’re full. Tactic: He temporarily gets a little embarrassed and goes off his game by crying out loud. Aiming at it dramatically increases the intensity and randomness of the recoil. Ultimate: Insane Luck causes enemy weapon jams. Nearby enemies will have to reload before firing. Probably dominated tactically and definitively, but weak passively”.
Other Reddit users took notice of the suggestion and backed it up, with a post pleading with Respawn to add Hank with over 15,000 upvotes. We have yet to see Respawn add a fully community-created Legend, but it could still happen as they strive to remain receptive to fan ideas.
