Xbox fans have been asking Redmond for the return of one of the brand’s most beloved franchises, Banjo-Kazooie. At the moment, there is nothing official about a new Banjo-Kazooie game, but at the beginning of last June, Phil Spencer triggered the alarms about the return of this sagaas they found him playing Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the Xbox 360 game that can be enjoyed on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S thanks to backward compatibility.
While Spencer commented a while back that Banjo’s revival is entirely up to Rare, the studio that created this beloved character. But seeing the developer focused on Sea of Thieves and Everwild, among other known IP’s that could be back after Microsoft has renewed them. So everything seems to indicate that if Bajo-Kazooie returns, another studio may take care of the development, as the Spanish Xbox expert has commented. eXstas1swho has confirmed that a new Banjo-Kazooie game would be in development, with Sumo Digital being the possible studio behind it all.
Xbox has many games in development yet unannounced
Obviously, this is all speculation, so take it as such. It is well known that many of us want the return of Banjo-Kazooie, so we will have to keep waiting, with the luck that one day Xbox surprises us all.
