Fortnite is no stranger to crossovers. Epic Games’ battle royale will add Ezio and Eivor, two favorite protagonists from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, on April 7. It’s been a busy year for Fortnite, as the game continues to add various pop culture icons, such as Marvel’s Doctor Strange, and could try to add even more in 2022.
There is no doubt that Epic Games has done a good job of keeping Fortnite ever since the game became a hit, and its many crossovers have played a key role in turning Epic Games into an $8 billion business.
There are rumors on social media that a new collaboration with Disney could be in the works, and that the newest addition to the game could come from a galaxy far, far away.
According to a tweet from iFireMonkey, and collected in the State of Unreal event organized by Epic Games in which it has presented Unreal Engine 5, the second monitor showed a game folder of Fortnite which hinted at their possible future crossovers, with mentions of Family Guy, Doom, Indiana Jones, and even the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader.
This would not be the first time that Fortnite has a collaboration with the franchise of starwarsas the game famously featured the return of Emperor Palpatine during a limited Star Wars event that premiered shortly before The Rise of Skywalker.
Since then, Epic Games has added a ton of content from starwars to the game, being the most recent inclusions of Fortnitethe Fennec Shand and the towering Wookiee Krrsantan from the Boba Fett Book.
It goes without saying that crossovers are one of Fortnite’s biggest strengths, as it has allowed Epic Games to easily partner with many companies to seamlessly integrate their intellectual properties into the game.
