The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leaks come from an unlikely source: Call of Duty: Mobile data mining. These leaks have revealed a number of details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2with the latter set to reveal the game modes, perks, killstreaks, and much more that fans can expect once the game launches this October.
These leaks have come from Reality, which has published the information along with their game icons to give them more legitimacy. Still, Call of Duty fans should take the information with a grain of salt and also keep in mind that some of this leaked content may not make it into the final product.
After all, a lot can change between now and the release date of Modern Warfare 2, on October 28, so fans should keep that in mind. According to leaked information, core Call of Duty multiplayer match types will return in Modern Warfare 2, such as Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, Free for All, and Kill Confirmed.
Other modern favorites like Gunfight are also mentioned in the leak. If the leaked list of game modes is correct, it appears that players of Modern Warfare 2 they will also be able to try some new modes, such as Ground War Bomb and All or nothing.
Fans should note that these lists are not necessarily all that there will be and that more could be added before release, as well as some of these items that may not make it to the final version.
For example, there will almost certainly be more killstreaks in Modern Warfare 2 for players to try out in multiplayer matches beyond those mentioned in the leak, though details will have to wait until a later date.
As for when Activision and Infinity Ward will reveal the official details of the multiplayer experience of Modern Warfare 2, remains to be seen. If those leaks are true, it stands to reason that more information about Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will come to light sooner rather than later.
